Outwood Grange Academies Trust (OGAT) has been confirmed as the new sponsor of Easingwold School from September 2017. Welcoming the news, Kevin Hollinrake said “This will come as a relief to everyone concerned, particularly parents of pupils, who had been worried about the impact the uncertainty is having on their children’s education. Outwood Grange has an excellent reputation, and this announcement means that Easingwold School can now start the transition process. I know that the staff will do everything they can to make sure that there is minimum disruption for pupils, particularly at exam time.”
Mr Hollinrake recently met with the Education Secretary to press for funds to improve facilities at the school and said that he would be making this a priority in the next few months and will do everything possible to ensure the school receives the necessary funding. He paid tribute to the hard work of the school, its governors, OGAT, North Yorkshire County Council for everything they have done since the Ofsted report to bring about this very positive change to enable the school to return to the excellent place of learning that local parents and students should expect.
