Re-opening the recently closed ward at The Lambert Hospital in Thirsk remains a priority for local MP, Kevin Hollinrake.
Last week he met with representatives from the Action Group who are appealing for the services provided at the hospital to be available again there as soon as possible.
One of those who spoke to the MP was Councillor Janet Watson,
'I am delighted that our local MP, Kevin Hollinrake, is strongly supporting the Lambert Hospital Action Group in their endeavour to have the hospital reopened as soon as possible'
The League of Friends of The Lambert Hospital have joined the Action Group along with local councillors and residents. Mrs Pat Chapman, who is Chair of The League also met with Mr Hollinrake outside the hospital.
“I was grateful for Cllr Watson and Mrs Chapman for meeting with me and telling me their concerns. I will continue to press for more information and hope it will not be long before services resume at what is a much needed, local facility of great importance to the community.”
