I was delighted to have had the opportunity to be shown the plans for the extension at Ryedale School today. The new extension will include nine additional classrooms and allow the school to increase its intake from 600 to 700 pupils. Ryedale School, under the leadership of Headmaster, Mark McCandless, is well run, has an excellent local reputation and great prospects for the future. I am pleased that the school will now be £40,000 better off as a result of the final funding formulae announced by the Secretary of State, Justine Greening, last week.
