I am hoping to set up an engineering fair - most likely in the New Year - connecting North Yorkshire schools and colleges with local engineering businesses for apprenticeship and/or work experience opportunities.
I welcome the focus on financial support for households and businesses to cope with higher energy costs and economic growth by means of simpler, lower taxes, regulatory reform and investment zones.
I am very supportive of renewable energy and reducing our reliance on imports of fossil fuels. I have also previously spoken out about the need to insulate more homes to reach our net zero target cost-effectively.
